From Alabama to San Diego: The Journey of Ashtynn and Cole's Heartfelt Elopement
Shaking things up with a blog dedicated to a truly unique elopement experience! However, this one stands out from the rest – it's not your everyday affair. It holds a special significance to me, a sense of reverence, as I had the privilege of being enlisted by a fellow wedding vendor. Ashtynn and Cole discovered my work on Instagram, and Ashtynn, a remarkably skilled wedding photographer, reached out to request my floral touch for their elopement in Southern California. Despite residing in Alabama, the couple decided to exchange vows in San Diego, a city that holds a profoundly meaningful place in their hearts.
Accomplishing The VISION
Ashtynn had a romantic vision for her bouquet – not all white, she definitely wanted a splash of color to vibe with Cole's slick pink suit. So, I got playful with rusts and threw in some berries to make it pop. Every shade was chosen with love, to compliment the vibes of Sunset Cliffs and the overall color pallet of Balboa Park. By the way, you really can’t go wrong with Balboa Park as a location. It’s truly stunning and the architecture is to die for.
First Look & Attaching Sentimental Pieces
Did you know that I offer day of delivery for elopements? Ashtynn and Cole opted to have their blooms delivered to their Air BnB where they were getting reading. It also happened to be where they were having their first look.
Upon arrival I had a very special task: I was to wrap Ashtynn’s bouquet with a custom memorial ribbon that had pictures of loved ones who had passed on as well as a delicate necklace that held her brother's ashes. I’m constantly blown away at how thoughtful my couples are.
After securing the details on the bouquet I handed it to Ashtynn and I just wanted to give some Big love to the Hair and Makeup (HAMU) done by Asia Nicole, for making Ashtynn shine. Loved the pearl moment she was having in her hair.
An Intimate Gathering
Ashtynn and Cole had their ceremony on October 10th, 2023 at Sunset Cliffs, an iconic location in San Diego. Surrounded by their handful of family they shared their vows.
