I’m Tori (they/she), the main human being behind Berry Blooms Floral Co.
I don’t often feel I’m the best at talking about myself BUT, I want you to have the opportunity to get to know the person behind your flowers! So let’s dive into how this used-to-be chemist found their true calling in being one heck of a florist.
A FLORIST’S ORIGIN STORY

It wasn’t until 2020 when I visited the historic LA flower market with my cousin that I considered actually pursuing floristry! The hands-on experience and the beauty of the result immediately put me in a state of flow—I was hooked!
Eager to delve into the world of florals, I IMMEDIATELY started looking for entry-level opportunities in San Diego and taking online work shops. Around June of 2021, I began working with a local wedding florist, running her market pop-up on weekends. This really opened up a world of learning, and I continued to collaborate with more florists from there and never turned back! Berry Blooms Floral Co. was officially established in June of 2022!
From a young age, I have always shown a deep love and appreciation for plants and flowers. Working with my grandma in the garden initiated that spark.
Since high school, I always loved balancing art and science. I really leaned into the science side when I worked in a chemistry lab in college!
OKAY, SO WE’VE ESTABLISHED HOW I DISCOVERED MY LOVE FOR FLORALS & WHEN I TOOK THE LEAP INTO FLORISTRY.

I really enjoy exploring new food spots and coffee shops with my partner.
I also love try new creative mediums! Most recently I’ve been trying ceramics at The Mudd House!

I get hyper-fixated on music albums. Lately it’s been mangosauce’s Pastel Plaid and Semler’s Revival in my Mind albums on repeat!

Recently I can’t get enough of Necessity Coffee’s specialty caps! The cosmic apple one was definitely a fave.

I'm a proud queer and Latinx business owner based in Southern California. Personalized floral design for events is for ALL, regardless of race, gender, orientation etc.
impactful design
Florals are a such delicate, temporary art form that I wish more people put bouquets on display in museums. Creating something unique, just for you is what I do best.
meaningful connections
Forming deep connections with my couples is essential to my creative process! It helps inform my overall designs. Furthermore creating long-lasting bonds with vendors across the industry is one of my top priorities.
education & transparency
There are no smoke and mirrors here folks! I fully believe that transparency is the key to a healthy relationship. I have prioritized floral education for my clients. Ingredient lists and pricing breakdowns are guaranteed!
